New group - Active Rain Fishermen - Dedicated to all of us born to fish & forced to work!

It is just about spring which means that fishing season will soon be in full swing.  I usually take a fishing trip every year somewhere between January & February just to shake the winter non fishing blues.  The picture below is of a 325 lb Goliath Grouper that I caught March of last year in Florida with Capt Ben Chancey. An absolutely amazing fight! I challenge ANYONE to find a more physically exhausting fish to catch.

For all of you on the NJ coast & on up north, THE STRIPERS ARE COMING!!! Soon it will be Striped Bass Season!! I can't wait. Last year we caught some great striped bass on the Cindy Sea III.  Capt Dave & Cindy Clapp.  First class people with a first class operation!!  Well its late.  I'll post some more pics tomorrow.  I have pics of barracuda, king salmon, spanish mackerel, tarpon, snook, blackfish (togs), cobia, cod, pollock, bass, rainbow trout, brown trout, steelhead trout, catfish, etc. etc. etc.

For all of you fishermen out there, fresh & saltwater, please feel free to join & post!! Remember we need to work harder so we can get out there & play even harder!! Take care & get out there fishing!!!

That picture is clearly photoshopped. Just kidding. That is one HUUUUGE grouper. I cannot imagine how long of a fight was put up trying to reel that thing in. The Stripers or Strippers are coming?

Okay I corrected that one. Sorry that post was at 1 am when I was a bit tired.  That the stripers are coming, not strippers!  LOL
